Hi, my name is Megan, and I am passionate about empowering couples, families, and individuals to rebuild their relationships.
I know how important it is to have the right people around you, and how hard it is to feel alone.
My experiences have taught me that good relationships help us thrive, be healthy, and enjoy our lives.
When relationships cause pain it puts a burden on living each day.
One of my strengths and passions is to help others find connection during conflict that strengthens their bond over time.
I have obtained my Masters of arts in Mental Health Counseling with a track in Marriage and Family Therapy at Colorado Christian University.
During my time in internship I worked with couples, families, and individuals. I use evidence-based models, specifically emotion-focused therapy (EFT), through an attachment lens.
Attachment theory says that the way our caregivers showed us how to navigate relationships as kids impacts how we are in relationships now.
I help my clients become aware of these learned habits and guide them in trying something new.
My main goal is to help my clients uncover the very root of the problem because that is where real and long lasting change happens.
I find it important that each client is willing to take responsibility for their part in the relationship in order to grow together.
I am a marriage and family therapist candidate. I have a background in experiential learning and outdoor recreation.
My approach integrates this background with an authentic and direct nature, while not forgetting the importance of laughter.
In my free time, I enjoy the great outdoors that the front range has to offer, including hiking and biking with my husband.
I also love to do art projects and read fiction novels with a good cup of tea.
Reach out to our office or schedule a free twenty minute consultation call to see if we are a good fit. I look forward to connecting with you!
