There is nothing more rewarding than a healthy, loving relationship with your partner.
This inspires me to help my clients achieve that harmony for themselves.
After working in the field of Psychology in treatment programs for over 25 years, I’m delighted to be offering my professional services as a Marriage and Family Therapist.
Personally, I needed to do my own work in therapy to be able to be emotionally available for an intimate relationship.
Through my own experience and professional training, I’m uniquely qualified to support and help others discover that closeness in their relationships.
I have a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado, a Master’s in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University, and I’m pre-licensed as a Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate in Colorado.
I have also completed training in Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
I work with couples and individuals either virtually or in person.
I’m committed to offering my clients a warm, empathic, non-judgmental approach using evidence-based practices.
Together, we can look at what obstacles are getting in the way of you having the relationship you deserve.
If you desire to make positive changes in your relationship, I believe this can happen at any age.
Whether you are seeking support for yourself or a loved one, feel free to contact me for a complimentary introduction call.
Why I became a therapist
I’ve always been naturally interested in psychology, starting back in high school and college. Friends and family often confided in me, and I was seen as a good listener.
As a young adult, I faced some challenges with substances.
Through the support of a 12-step program, I worked a strong recovery program that made a huge impact on me and transformed my life in a much healthier direction.
During that time, I also began running and cycling, eventually completing marathons.
It was after this season of growth that I decided to pursue a master’s degree in clinical psychology, with the goal of helping others create better lives for themselves.
I’ve always been especially interested in relationships and the importance of having healthy, supportive people around you.
In my career, I’ve worked in treatment programs, including wilderness therapy and residential settings. I’ve remained particularly passionate about family-of-origin work and the healing of the inner child issues.
I truly enjoy working with couples, supporting them in discovering more about themselves and the ways they connect with each other!
