Is your loved one struggling with addiction?

If you’re reading this, chances are you’re in the thick of a situation that feels both overwhelming and isolating.

Watching someone you care about battle addiction can feel like navigating a maze without a map.

You’re likely feeling the emotional weight of it all—frustration, confusion, perhaps even guilt or shame—and wondering how you can best support both your loved one and yourself.

If you’ve tried programs like Al-Anon and didn’t find what you needed, or you want more support, you’re not alone.

It’s a tough road, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach. That’s why we’re offering a free and unique option that could be exactly what you’ve been searching for: our CRAFT Support Group.

CRAFT, which stands for Community Reinforcement and Family Training, is a proven approach to help family members and loved ones of those struggling with addiction.

It’s not just another support group—it’s a community of people who understand exactly what you’re going through. People who can offer the kind of support that’s often hard to find elsewhere.

At the heart of CRAFT is the belief that family members can be the key to helping a loved one reduce substance use and seek treatment.

But it’s also about you—the family member—getting the tools and support you need to take care of yourself while navigating this complex situation.

We get it—sometimes it feels easier to keep it all inside.

You might worry about what others will think or feel too embarrassed to talk about it. You might also be afraid of how your loved one will react if they find out you’re seeking help.

That’s why this group exists. It’s a safe, judgment-free space where you can talk openly, get advice, and learn strategies that work.

In the group, you’ll gain practical tools to:

  • Communicate more effectively with your loved one without falling into the trap of nagging, pleading, or threatening.

  • Set boundaries that protect your own well-being while still offering support.

  • Encourage your loved one to seek treatment, or at the very least, reduce their substance use. Research shows that healthy pressure from loved ones is often what motivates individuals to seek help.

  • Focus on your self-care. Sometimes that gets forgotten in the heat of the moment.

The group is also about helping you, too.

One of our primary goals is to support you in making positive changes that enhance your self-esteem and overall well-being, whether or not your loved one chooses to enter treatment.

CRAFT isn’t just theory—it’s an evidence-based approach that has shown real, positive outcomes for both families and the individuals struggling with addiction.

Studies have documented significant improvements in well-being for family members before and after participating in CRAFT, as well as reductions in substance use and higher rates of treatment entry for loved ones.

This group is free because Colorado Relationship Recovery is part of a federal grant to prevent and reduce substance use.

We feel incredibly fortunate to be able to offer this valuable resource to you.

Join us online every Monday from 12:00 pm – 1:00 pm (Mountain Time) To get the Zoom link, simply email: jason@coloradorelationshiprecovery.

The group is currently facilitated by Jason Polk, a Licensed Addiction Counselor and experienced Couples Therapist, who brings both professional expertise and personal insight into the struggles of addiction.
