Hi, my name is Helene, and I am passionate about helping people create more authentic, meaningful, and secure relationships in their lives.
Why did I decide to pursue a career as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist?
I chose couple and family therapy because I believe relationships offer us profound meaning and joy.
Humans are wired for connection, yet we are not always taught how to build healthy relationships with others.
I am honored to help couples transform by uncovering hidden patterns, examining underlying emotions, and focusing on practical tools to reconnect.
My Approach:
I am compassionate, collaborative, and direct. I meet my clients where you are.
I blend evidence-based methods, such as the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy, to support growth and healing.
I am often looking for the primary emotions beneath the surface.
We all feel sadness, frustration, grief, or disappointment at some point in our lives.
Feeling these emotions, let alone sharing them with another person, can be incredibly scary. It can also be incredibly healing and transformative. I believe this is where true change can happen.
I am excited to work with adults, couples, and families of all backgrounds and identities. I welcome and affirm diverse relationship structures and the LGBTQ community.
Education: I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Michigan and a Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy from the University of Colorado-Denver. I am currently a pre-licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Candidate in Colorado.
More about Helene..
I grew up in Chicago and long dreamed of moving out West. I never quite adjusted to those Midwest winters!
My favorite part of Colorado is the constant sunshine and beautiful nature. In my spare time, you will likely find me enjoying the outdoors, trying a new coffee shop, or spending time with my cats.
