In my experience, from working with a variety of clients, everything in the human experience comes back to relationships.
I began my career in therapy by doing career counseling. I was surprised to find that most of these sessions involved relationships and careers: parents’ expectations, issues with supervisors or coworkers, spouses determining where they would live based on their careers, and more.
Relationships are an essential and critical part of the human experience.
I specialize now in working with all types of couples, and I relish in the fact that I get to help couples with things like greater intimacy, stronger communication, and a true sense of partnership.
Couples therapy, like any therapy, takes work, and I’m grateful to be part of that process for so many couples.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Chico, and received my Master’s in Counseling and Career Development at Colorado State University. I’m currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate in Colorado.
I have also sought additional education in Level 1 Gottman Training, Emotion-Focused Couples Therapy, Relational Life Therapy, and EMDR, as well as training in perinatal mood and anxiety disorders and perinatal loss and grief.
In addition to working with all types of couples and relationships, I also specialize in working with parents, whether you are a new parent or a seasoned parent looking to strengthen your relationship with your partner.
As a parent of a child with complex medical needs, I also specialize in supporting individuals, parents, couples, and families that identify as caregivers for their child(ren) with chronic illness, complex medical needs, and disabilities.
I am committed to learning and growing more so that I can serve my clients with relevant and practical approaches and help them meet their goals in a safe and supportive space.
